Celebrating its 30th year, the New World Festival of the Arts will be Wednesday, August 17 and Thursday, August 18 on the waterfront in downtown Manteo. This annual Outer Banks art show is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday and 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Free parking and a shuttle to the waterfront is available from at the College of Albemarle.
Since 1981, the streets of Manteo have been transformed into a colorful arena of original artwork every year during the New World Festival of the Arts. The art festival features artists working with a variety of mediums including watercolors, oil and acrylics, graphics, drawings, photography, jewelry, sculptures and pottery. The juried art show will feature exhibits and original works of art from over 80 artists from around the country. Stroll the streets of Manteo and explore the art festival at this family friendly event. You won't be disappointed.
The New World Festival of the Arts is a family oriented outdoor show for spectators of all ages. The Festival provides awareness of the current trends in the visual arts while acquainting visitors with the historical town of Manteo.
