Ships Watch is a beautiful Corolla vacation home, located just 85 yards from the beach access and boasting amazing views of the ocean, dunes and immense open undeveloped area! Located in Ocean Sands, Ships Watch is just minutes away from the grocery store, shopping and ice cream. The beach in this area is one of the most unpopulated areas of the Outer Banks!

Beautiful stained glass antiques and detailed touches can be found throughout this home. Enjoy the cozy dining area with beautiful ocean views or head out to the expansive deck to enjoy dinner while listening to the waves crash in the ocean. The kitchen has all you need to prepare those memorable beach meals.

After a long day at the beach, the family will enjoy relaxing in the pool or hot tub. Enjoy a game of foosball in the recreation room on those rare rainy days. Ships Watch will help you make memories to last a lifetime!

Home does not provide linens, but may be rented for an additional fee.

This home includes credit for $315 in beach gear rentals from our partners at VayK Life. Stay between April 6th and October 19th, 2024 (7-night minimum), and use your beach gear credit for items such as bikes, beach chairs, umbrellas, paddleboards, and more!

Overall

This was a great house; very clean. Nothing but grey skies and some rain during the week which prevented star gazing, so we appreciated the television channels available in the evenings. We loved the French country decor. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed to make our meals and all beds and sofas were comfortable. The beach access wasn't far away which was wonderful. The lots were on the small side w/the pool in the front (not sure why it wasn't located in the back for privacy).

Amazing location with a view of the ocean from the deck and a short walk to the beach. Undeveloped land to the north makes it easy to spread out so the beach is much less crowded. This house was perfect for our family of 7 (parents young adults a baby and a couple of pups). Good together space and also easy to find a place for a quiet moment. It had a well-equipped kitchen that made it easy to cook our favorite summer meals. Beds and sofas were comfy! The upper deck was where we enjoyed most of our meals and watched the sunset each night. The pool was a big hit with everybody!

House was perfect for our vacay! Pool and hot tub were great and we absolutely loved how close the beach access was! We will definitely be back to Ships Watch in the near future! Beds and couches were very comfortable!

The deck overlooking the preserve with a partial view of the ocean along with the sound of ocean was a perfect spot for morning cup of coffee. The house is 100 yards from beach with beach access path at the end of the street. The pool and spa were nice and clean. We loved that the house was pet friendly. Our dog Wilson had a great time! The kitchen had everything. I have never stayed in a rental with such nice eating utensils dishware and cooking utensils. The home even had a crock pot! The only utensil I could not find was a potato masher. Great kitchen. We would love to plan another vacation at this lovely house.

Overall

Living room and bedroom furniture was all comfortable. By far the best equipped kitchen of any rental I’ve stayed in while on vacation. This house met all of our needs at an affordable price. Super close to the beach private pool which was maintained daily close to shopping and other fun activities. We had 4 adults and 5 kids with us and there was plenty of room for all. I would recommend this house to anyone looking to vacation in Corolla.

Pros: location layout view space new baths and kitchen Cons: outdated furnishings needs some freshening up with brighter colors. Swap out rugs. The kitchen is updated and well equipped. The bedding and living areas need a little TLC and updates to furnishings.

Great location; easy access to the beach. Across the street fro Harris Teeter. Nice bike path. I was worried about parking based on previous recommendations but we were able to fit a GMC Denali a mini van and a Nissan Rogue

We enjoyed our stay at Ships Watch. The location to the beach was great and it was a great quiet street. We needed more storage for our food but were happy with the "extras" like the salad spinner and crock pot.
