What is the OBX Brewfest all About?
Brewfest is a festival. Like all great festivals, it includes the finest locally-brewed refreshments and the best music possible. OBX Brewfest seeks to inspire and showcase the area's culinary, performing, and visual arts through a craft beer culture event boasting over 80 tasty libations from around the United States.
Expect an experience like no other featuring everything from homebrew demonstrations and beer-centric workshops hosted by industry professionals, to live music. They will also be presenting a unique “Games for Grown Folks” field day-style with a game zone which will be chock full of activities including life-sized Jenga, keg bowling, human foosball, life-size Connect Four and more.
Non-drinkers can also enjoy samples throughout the day in the festival’s Soda Garden, which will house over twenty handcrafted sodas. Several local restaurants will have food available for purchase throughout the event; some of whose culinary teams will also be presenting segments such as “Cooking with Beer,” “Homebrew 101,” “Beer & Cheese,” “Repurposed Beer Art,” “Design Your Own Beer Garden,” “Plant to Pint: Where Your Beer Comes From,” and more.

But that's not all that OBX Brewfest has to offer. Kitty Hawk Kayak & Surf School, in conjunction with Hype Promotions and the OBX Brewfest, will be hosting the inaugural OBX Brewathlon Adventure Race! The race will include a series of 7 legs of classic Outer Banks adventure sports and leisure activities that the OBX is known for including: surfing, running, horseshoes, cornhole, stand up paddleboarding, kayaking, BBQ and brews.
