Sun Realty would like to welcome OBX Marathon runners and remind them to run hard and vacation easy.
The Outer Banks Marathon will be held this Sunday, November 14. Thousands of runners and their families are coming to the Outer Banks for a weekend full of festivities. The Outer Banks Marathon course takes runners on a unique tour of the Outer Banks. Beginning in historic Kitty Hawk, the course takes runners along the Albemarle Sound, past the Wright Brothers National Monument and on through Nags Head Woods Nature Preserve. The route then takes a turn past the largest sand dune on the East Coast, Jockey’s Ridge State Park and finally across the Washington-Baum bridge onto Roanoke Island, home of America’s first English colonists settled. And finally to Manteo for the finish line. Volunteers are still needed for all Marathon events. For information about volunteering for any of the events listed below, click here.
