Ask any Outer Banks local what his/her favorite time of year is and I betcha it will be fall. There is something special about warm, lazy autumn days at the beach. September's average air temperature is in the low 80s and October's is in the low to mid 70s. Autumn is the time of year to enjoy amazing sunsets over the sound, pig out on fresh local seafood, and revel in the natural beauty of the Outer Banks.

Day 1
Breakfast: Duck Donuts! Yum! No matter where you are on the Northern or Central Outer Banks you can reach one. These honestly are the best donuts I've ever had. Especially when they are fresh made.
Lunch: Mama Kwans! Jerk chicken soft tacos, yum! They only serve them at lunch but that's ok.
Dinner: La Fogatas! The BEST Mexican food around with the best staff.
