Sun Realty Food Donation Program

Sun Realty works with several local food pantries to collect and distribute unopened, non-perishable food from our guests, to benefit those in need across the Outer Banks. Lower Currituck Food Pantry serves our Northern beaches, from Corolla and Carova to mainland Currituck County. Beach Food Pantry serves our Dare County residents on our main beaches from Duck to Nags Head. Cape Hatteras United Methodist Men Food Bank serves our Southern beaches from Rodanthe to Hatteras Village, serving all of Hatteras Island.

Sun Realty Literature Donation Program

Sun Realty is proud to collaborate with the Dare Literacy Council to serve the literacy needs of Dare County and the entire Outer Banks. All Sun Realty locations accept new or gently used books for Dare Literacy Council’s bi-annual fundraisers. Books must be in good condition and free of mold and mildew. Books in all categories are accepted. CD’s, DVD’s, LP’s and videos are also accepted. No magazines, please. All proceeds from the book sale fundraisers help the Dare Literacy Council buy workbooks for their students and help support literacy programs.

Sun Realty's 35th Anniversary Special

It's our birthday! Sun Realty has been helping families make memories on the Outer Banks for 35 years. We couldn't celebrate this milestone without our fabulous staff, incredible owners and, of course, our awesome guests! In honor of our 35th anniversary, we are offering new and returning guests $50 OFF their reservation.*  But, unlike our gratitude, this offer won't last long!  Use promo code BDAY50 when calling or booking your online reservation.

Sun Realty Celebrates 35 Years in Business

Sun Realty of Nags Head, a premier vacation rental and real estate sales company on the Outer Banks, is celebrating its 35th anniversary on May 15, 2015. At a time when smaller companies are being absorbed by larger corporations, Sun Realty has maintained that 'big company, small office' feel through their seven office locations. Sun marks this milestone with extreme gratitude to its incredible staff, trusted owners, and loyal guests.

Choose the Outer Banks

When You Choose the Outer Banks, You Choose Peace & Tranquility Ask any North Carolinian, and they’ll tell you: there is only one true land deserving of the name, ‘Carolina’; only one place with the finest beaches; only one place home to the nicest people; only one place — and that place is North Carolina. South Carolina, please. Sure, the Palmetto State has its high points: Hilton Head is great. Charleston is fun. Myrtle Beach is… crowded.

2015 OBX Brewfest

Have you ever thought that the one thing your Outer Banks vacation was missing was a tried and true local craft beer festival? Well, now you have the opportunity to attend the inaugural OBX Brewfest in Nags Head, NC on Sunday, May 31st.

Marketing Director Receives Certification

Sun Realty is pleased to announce that Shannon Kinser, Marketing Director, has earned her Email Messaging Certification from MECLABS, a nationally recognized research and testing company.  Ms. Kinser received training and insight from some of the best marketers in the country to prepare her for the certification testing and attended the Marketing Sherpa 2015 Email Summit in Las Vegas, NV.

Four Iconic Lighthouses on the OBX

Four Iconic Outer Banks Lighthouses You Should Visit The waters off the coast of North Carolina’s Outer Banks are famously — perhaps, infamously — known as the Graveyard of the Atlantic. Since the first recorded event at the mouth of the Cape Fear River in 1526, more than one thousand ships have disappeared into the depths of the Atlantic where the cold waters of the Labrador Current collide with the warmer Gulf Stream.

Outer Banks Weddings

Planning a destination wedding on the Outer Banks? Think outside the box. The idea of a destination wedding on the Outer Banks is, of course, to get married on the beach. How out of box can you get? The answer is… very. Your first thought may have been to host the ceremony on a public beach before jaunting to a local restaurant or event location to dance the night away. But here’s an alternative: Book a vacation rental home with Sun Realty.
