Only a short drive away to area attractions, restaurants, and shopping, some of the many activities you will be able to enjoy while vacationing at Escape will be the Bodie Island Lighthouse, Roanoke Island, Jockey's Ridge State Park, and the Wright Brother's Monument. Rent jet skis for the day, charter a boat to watch dolphins, or try out parasailing. For the runners, joggers, walkers, and bicyclists in the family, South Nags Head offers a five-mile multi-use path that is nestled among the ribbon of vacation homes. As there is no safe area in which to do so, grilling is not allowed at this property.

4x4 is highly recommended for this property. There is street parking available for guest use on the same side of the street that the property is on.

Overall

Our annual May get-a-way, at #580, ESCAPE, was fantastic. It is about mid-way within the chain of OBX islands. We, our guests, and a furry friend, enjoyed two weeks at this cozy property. It had everything . We have already reserved for next year! South Nags Head is quaint, friendly, and most peaceful; yet only a 10 minutes drive will yield a gazillion eateries, shopping, and groceries. We need to sing the praises of KATE, our agent at Sun Realty; she is the best!!!

Beautiful view and great home to rent! Everything worked great! Excellent hot tub and so many stars out here in south nags head, but still close to piggly wiggly and food lion. Perfect location, right on beach, definitely must be 4x4 only unless you are ok walking a bit to unload/load your car.

Perfect Oceanfront. The dunes surround the house and view of the ocean from the living area and kitchen are amazing! This is a very nice house. Plenty of beds for several people. Bedding and living space was very comfortable. Great couch too. Parking is tough due to the deep sand. Bathrooms are small but nice. I will definitely stay here again

There wasn’t a single thing that I would change about this rental. We have been going to the OBX for 20 years and the condition, amenities and location of this house can’t be beat! My 4 kids loved it as did the adults. No need to look any further, this is the house to rent.

This was a great house. My family wants to stay here again next year! The kitchen was great. We really did not need to bring anything. Even had muffin tin. I had read reviews looking for a place that talked about the comfort of the beds. Your reviews said that the beds were very comfortable and they were right. The beds were very comfortable. The sofa was great also. The house had everything we needed! And the location was excellent. We really did not sit on the beach because we could just walk down and jump into the water and then stroll back up to the porch and watch the ocean.

We had an amazing week with the rental Escape 580. Not only is the house on the beach but it also comes fully stocked with quality appliances comfortable outside furniture and a sparkly clean hot tub. We were very impressed to have staff stop in to check the chemicals in the tub for our safety. Also we had an issue with the door and Sun Realty sent someone right out within the hour; fantastic response time and friendly people. Lindsay is the best and very kind!

We absolutely love this house! It was like we had the beach and ocean to ourselves almost everyday for Spring Break. We saw so many dolphins and birds everyday! I loved getting up to watch the sunrise every morning. I loved the wine glasses coffee cups and dishes. The kitchen was very well equipped with all eating and cooking utensils. It could use a few newer pots and pans for cooking. There was both Kurig and regular coffee pots. The beds were perfect! There are trundles under two of the beds in the bunk bed room so you could actually fit 5 or more kids in there. We would like to rent this house every year. It was so perfect for our family of five.

We really enjoyed the house and plan on visiting it again. The owners did a great job of getting it together seeing as they are new owners of the home. The kitchen was great! A dish drainer would have been helpful. The countertops were beautiful and were so easy to clean! Great appliances!! The king bed has a big dip in it. The other beds were good as well as the sofas.

The location of Escape cannot be beat! You walk down the steps from the deck and you are on the beach. When we weren’t on the beach we were on the deck enjoying the view! The house itself is in decent shape—the AC wifi plumbing and appliances all worked well and the rooms were a good size and comfortable. It was the perfect size for our family of two adults and two teens although you could easily fit one or two more. Being right on the sand has a few drawbacks—sand in the outside shower which doesn’t drain well; no clothesline to hang wet suits; no grill (despite the house description saying there is one). Overall however the positives definitely outweighed the negatives and we would stay in Escape again and recommend it to others!
